KEYNOTE SPEECHES AND THE ARCHI.BOX INSTALLATION: THE ME-MADE EXPO AMBASSADORS
Leading figures in the international debate on the influence of new technologies in the urban field Winy Maas and Carlo Ratti will be official ambassadors for the 2023 edition of ME-MADE expo.
Maas and Ratti will give a master class on November 15th and 16th respectively (for both at 5 p.m. - Unbuilt Area Hall 1). In addition, a virtual room named Archi.box will be dedicated to each of the two architects, designed to give the public an immersive, multisensory video mapping experience focused on a key theme for contemporary architecture. The two ambassadors will be joined by Patricia Viel, hired by Fondazione Promozione Acciaio, who will lead the Innovative Architectural Solutions for Steel lecture on Thursday, November 16th at 3 p.m. (Hall 3).
UNBUILT, Unrealized Projects, the initiative conceived by Platform in partnership with ME to tell the story of the architecture of the unbuilt, is a new element this year.
40 international and Italian architecture firms (20+20), based on applications from all over the world and selected by Platform Network, will present their "never built" projects, presenting a journey through architecture in the making with projects that have never been built, but are still current or viable. In addition to offering an overview of projects of different types, UNBUILT will provide a new opportunity for dialogue with the architects in attendance on trends in modern architecture design as seen from an international perspective.
