Instant House Temporary Housing

Federlegno Arredo, in association with the Politecnico di Milano, aims at promoting a contest within the framework of MADE expo: "Instant House Temporary Housing

The contest, open to enrolled students and newly graduates from schools of architecture, engineering or industrial design (both Italian and foreign students) selects projects that tackle the problem of living in relation to a temporary use of the city.

The “Instant House Temporary Housing” contest aims at experimenting on a residential structure equipped with services related to the mobility of the researchers and visitor professors at the Politecnico di Milano.
The contest proposes to experiment on housing models for people who do not live permanently in the city; the project area is located in the Sustainable Campus project.

The ideal architectural project should reflect the diverse ways of living in the metropolitan area by developing proposals that keep in mind the environment and the territory, sustainability and the needs of wellness and quality of life.

The winning projects as well as the other projects deemed as worthy of mention will be exhibited at MADE expo, the trade fair that will take place from 17 - 20 October, 2012 at the Fiera Milano Rho, Italy.
